This is a strange for me from buying a Sony & Samsung fanboy. This is the outstanding 2D image that I have ever laid my eyes on, and I've seen many high-end TVs. I almost would have bought a Sony XBR-HX909 for the super-high ratings for its amazing 2D image. But once I saw the 3D image I was a bit thrown by the 3D technique, after already owning a Panasonic Viera 3D, which was much better. So that's what I gathered from my overall experience with the 3D Vizio HDTV:
-PROS-
+ The acquired site with Amazon was better than I thought it would have been his. Simple, fast, free shipping, no taxes (tax is $ 115 when you buy in a store), and perfectly maintained, Sam's Club is scary, lol.
47-inch "OMG! It's bigger than I thought." This set is so much at that price, quality and size!
+ The LED TV is thicker, because the 160 LEDs behind the screen. This provides a better contrast, which will inspire you away! I've never seen this kind of genuine black on a set before. Sony sells the technology for about $ 3,500, yikes!
+ Features, features, features! The WiFi works amazingly. The Netflix App Play videos in a higher resolution than my PS3 or PC with HDMI. The WebTV programs are limited, but they are large, such as Revision3. There are rental Vudu, Amazon, vapors, and of course Netflix. There is a radio and Pandora app for local radio stations, or any state you want.
+ The best built-in speaker! The sound is outrageous, there is simply no thin TVs, speakers like the ones on this set can house. I wanted to buy a 5.1 Dolby system for space, but I only have the volume to 20% on the Vizio. I recommend True Volume off when volume causes strange changes. This feature is available on most TVs with different names, but always to volume issues, like the iPod volume settings.
+ The remote is Bluetooth and an amazing little device. All remotes should be like this! It is universal, and has the codes in the TV automatically for all devices, but the PS3; sync because of the PS3. But the XBOX 360 is compatible! TIVO, DirecTV, etc. The keyboard is perfect for the apps and Facebook! Since it is Bluetooth, as the PS3 Blu-ray remote control, the signal is always connected, so are the keys to press harder, so you do not accidentally change the channel. This is a good thing.
+ Bluetooth means wireless headphones, so you do not bother others who do not want to hear the TV, as my girlfriend when she sleeps. You can buy Vizio's headset or a Bluetooth headset you may have will work.
Accessories such as Vizio + router, Bluetooth headset, or Vizio stereos are made easily and for a reasonable price (high marks from CNET). The 3D glasses are sold separately, but only costs about $ 150 for two rechargeable glasses. That is about the price, Sony and Samsung selling for a couple! Very cheap for 3D! Sony will buy two pairs of four pairs of Vizio. Much of the other 3D TVs without the glasses with a pair or come at all.
+ The price is great with dead! It is robbery! I paid $ 1500, and chose Amazon for the purchase of the assessment rate at a store. The 480Hz (240Hz really) makes amazing 2D images, and do not look fake at all! Remember, this function up to high, because it off out-of-the-box is turned on.
Okay, well here is the BAD:
CONS
-There is no SD slot, but that's not really a problem. There are 3 USB ports! 3! I never have the SD slot on my Panasonic, it's kinda pointless.
-The 3D is not 3D like my plasma. BUT! The plasma has great 3D, but not a big 2D image. 3D is a fun factor, not taken seriously and you will be fine. The ghosting problem exists, but it's all 3D set I've seen, but the Panasonic 3D plasma. The 3D is the bottom right awful at times on the PS3 video games, but not right on the films. Remember that 3D is not an every moment, what on this amount. It is rare, and used for all 3D images, you can deactivate it to 2D. I personally like the 3D and the glasses, but do not think it will be a lot better than this, with the exception of the plasma. The real focus should be that the TV's 480Hz (240Hz really) is used for better 3d, but really the biggest difference in the 2D image that is amazing!
Size is a little thicker, but it's like to be there because in order to produce the images on the 10,000,000:1 contrast. I think the set is beautiful, and freak out my friends how wonderful it in person! Nothing is greater than a few inches difference. You should not really about the size but are afraid you can not see how thick the TV, but you can see the image contrast.
IN THE END
The TV out preforms all the TV I have seen, the Samsung 8000 Series. It has so many features that you will feel that you are robbed of their money Vizio for $ 1000. The 3D is okay, but do not worry, nobody is even close to a TV in the quality they have! The accessories are great, with great prizes. You will ultimately feel that you are leagues ahead of all other TV. The black ones are literally black (turn off the LED), the whites are bright as hell, the color of everything you know! You can not go wrong with this purchase. I hate to say it, but Vizio turned me away from the other brands (Sony, Samsung, etc.). The reviews from CNET are endless great! This should be the happiest on a TV purchase you will ever have. Good luck, and feel free to add additional question, I will answer again:)
