   Like all other interested to buy in the production of the big screen, I spent hours every night, read the reviews to facilitate shopping around and comparing specifications and prices, and trying to decide whether to go LCD or plasma. Ultimately, I ended up only to the local BB and see which one looked and felt right to me. I bought this beautiful 55in plasma and I could not be happier about it. I've been around for more than two weeks and I have not a single complaint. The picture is great and the sound is good for my living room (apartment). The 2D-3D conversion is fine, but you should not expect too much from any television conversion. The 3D Blu-Ray is a different story - The Ultimate Wave Tahiti is amazing (I had to watch it twice because I did not follow a word because I was blown so away from the picture) and Resident Evil Afterlife was fun to watch (3D, at least).

I realized that all the hours I spent reading something super detailed review was a waste of time because, if it matters, I do not really care or even the subtle differences that compare to so many people. I just wanted a solid tv with great picture at an affordable price and that was it.

The setup was beyond easy. The remote and on-screen menus are very user friendly.

The widgets all work well. YouTube videos on a 55in can be entertaining.

My roommate and I are traveling surfers and licensed skydiver, so we much GoPro HD video, which we on this tv via the SD card slot (we see them through the youtube widget) to see and have them look phenomenal.
